An Italian Paradox: Born into Hospitality
The story of ApuliaBlue stems from a paradox, from what could be called the quintessential Italian stereotype, but turned upside down like a funnel. It is the story of an entire family that has always worked in hospitality and dining.
A field that has always fulfilled my mother. And one that has brought me immense satisfaction as well.
My 14 Years: Between Grand Hotels and Dreams in a Suitcase
I began working in the hotel industry at 14, discovering the joy of hospitality in beautiful 4-star hotels in Eraclea, Milan, and Lignano Sabbiadoro. Every day, I observed travelers passing through and dedicated myself to making their stay perfect.
“Who knows what they were hiding in those leather briefcases, who knows how many dreams they carried in their suitcases...”
When Destiny Puts You to the Test
Life gives you no time to watch without acting. It moves fast, flashes before your eyes, and surprises you at every moment—for better or for worse. And I have seen both sides of this coin.
I saw the bad side when, following an injury, I lost my job and was forced to accept whatever role came my way, with absolutely no personal fulfillment. Or when I endured workplace bullying from my manager, a terrible experience that led me to realize something truly paradoxical: that is how it works in Milan. If you work, you have no social life; if you don't work, you are an outcast.
However, this didn't break me. Quite the opposite. I took all that pain and turned it into a desire to change, a desire to grow, a desire for redemption.
